Bauer is the owner and operator of Audio Mastering Service. He is a Berklee College of Music trained mastering engineer, where he studied under Jonathan Wyner (Aerosmith, Bruce Springsteen, Miles Davis, Nirvana).

Chris has substantial knowledge of all theoretical and practical aspects of online mastering, and can provide advice on technical issues. He has considerable experience in mastering a broad variety of contemporary musical styles, including jazz, world, folk, country, blues, reggae, R&B, rap, hip-hop, electronica, dance, pop, alternative, rock and metal. With a background as a musician and studio engineer, he also has a thorough understanding of the music production process and the needs of the client.

“Every mix has its peculiarities – sometimes the bass is too dominant, other times the vocals lack presence. It is always a challenge to identify the problems and get the best possible sound out of a song. It is what fascinates me about mastering and I am always thrilled when the client is blown away by the final result.”
